Blue Mountains Animals Fauna
The following pages have been put together to serve as a guide only, allowing you to gain a greater insight into some of the animals that reside in the Blue Mountains National Park. Please remember, when observing animals in their environment, sightings are generally unpredictable. Also, many of the mammal species of the Blue Mountains are only active at night and the likelihood of seeing them is slim. One of the exceptions to this rule is the Eastern grey Kangaroo, where there is a 98% chance of seeing them on our tour.
Important: So as not to interrupt their natural behaviour, wildlife should be observed from a distance. This reduces stress in the animal and allows them to continue doing what they normally do in their natural environment. Also, please observe them quietly and do not attempt to feed animals as human foods can cause ill health.
